Farmer's Awards
FARMER'S AWARD
To compete for this award, bring in at least four of your livestock (large animals such as horses, cows, pigs, etc.) Fowl do not count toward the four. You will be judged on your knowledge of your animals and their care, as well as your interaction with crowd. $100 cash prize awarded.
JUNIOR FARMER'S AWARD
You must be less than 16 years old and display at least three animals from your farm to compete for this award. You will be judged on care of the animals over the duration of the fair, as well as information about the animals you share with the public. $25 cash prize awarded.
RULES FOR BOTH AWARDS
Building space is on a first come, first served basis. Livestock must arrive no later than 9:00 am on Saturday and be at the fair for three days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). Call Shannon Salley at 416-4113 for registration information and for transportation restrictions.
YOUTH LIVESTOCK SHOW
Saturday Morning Registration at 9:00 am at the Outback Arena
Show starts at 10:00 am
Show is open to any youth and 4-H Club members between the ages of 6 and 19 Open General Livestock Any Breed
Beef, Dairy, Goat, Pig, Rabbit, Poultry, Llama, & Alpaca are all welcome
Pre-registration is required All animals must be on the Fairgrounds and registered by Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Judging will begin shortly after. Halters & leads are required on large animals. Judging will be based on the appearance of the animal and the youth, and the youth's handling, control, and knowledge of their animal.
Premiums are as follows: Blue $10, Red $5, Yellow/White $3. If we get a lot of entries they will be divided into more specific animal categories.
