The Harmony Patriarchs Club
Presents the 73rd Annual Harmony Free Fair - 2021
Welcome to the 73rd Harmony Free Fair! We all missed you in 2020 but you will be glad to know we stayed busy making improvements to the fairgrounds.
We insulated and finished sheetrocking the back storage area of the food pavilion and added heat and a generator. We then installed a metal ceiling in the actual dining area, which should make everyone happy except for a few pigeons. We also installed exhaust fans in the bathrooms and have added some outdoor lighting to the midway area. Part of last summer was spent trimming up the overgrowth on the banks of the grounds.
The Harmony Patriarchs Club is very proud to support the Harmony Cares food pantry and the beautiful addition that was added this summer with no cost to the local taxpayers.
So this year we will be having a fair!!! Back will be the truck pull, demo derby, and all them antique tractors. The oxen and draft horse events as well as the famous Monday horse show are also returning. Our animal barns will be full and the reptile house will be back. Pig scramble, Border Collie demo, blacksmith, and many other events and demos too. You all know how great our fireworks show is, this year will be no exception. Don't forget to buy your prize ticket.
We have more entertainment on our stage this year than any other year and have had a special committee planning games and contests throughout the fair including a cornhole tournament and lots of games for kids of all ages. We will be giving away 30 bikes to the kids again this year, and hundreds of Harmony Fair tee shirts to game and event participants. And remember - as always we have no gate fee and parking is free.
All our food vendors will be back this year with lots of delicious fair food. You really don't need to cook at all over Labor day weekend - come support our local non-profit organizations. And don't forget to pick up a treat at the pie auction.
I'm sure I have forgotten to list a lot of our events, entertainment, and contests so go ahead and look through the book. Pick your favorites and enjoy.
We are always looking for volunteers. Whether you are new to the area or have lived here all your life, if you would like to become part of a great community betterment organization , we would love to hear from you.
SEE YOU AT THE FAIR!
